Sheemore Counselling

About Me
Has life thrown something in your path that you are struggling to make sense of? Are you aware that your stress or anxiety levels are heightened and you are confused by these feelings? Then perhaps you need someone to talk to, to help you make sense of the confusion you are feeling and the unexplained emotions that can feel overwhelming and leave you feeling alone.

My experience includes my own private practice based in South Birmingham and working for the Priory Wellbeing Centre in Birmingham City Centre. I have also worked within the NHS profession for the past 13 years and was previously working within a Charity organisation for 5 years.

At times we can all face difficulties and through my work, I have experience of working with a range of issues including Depression, Self-Harm & Bereavement. I am a BACP Accredited Psychotherapist who works within the BACP Ethical Framework and am fully insured. I offer long term or short term counselling dependent on individual needs.

What to expect
Do you feel like sometimes you are on the edge? You are aware that your feelings and thinking are different and you are unsure about how to express them. Whilst counselling can be very demanding, frustrating and emotional, we can work together to help you understand and make sense of what you are feeling and thinking and allow you to make the decisions that are right for you.

An initial assessment is required to enable us to discuss your goals of counselling and the ways in which I work. This will allow us both to establish if we can work together and is an important part of the therapeutic relationship going forward. I can offer face to face sessions, telephone sessions or on-line sessions.

Sessions are offered on a weekly basis and lasts 50 minutes. Parking facilities are available without charge and there are local bus routes close by making accessibility trouble-free.
Fees
An Initial telephone assessment is free. All session fees are charged at a rate of £45 per 50 minute session.

Individual circumstances can be discussed at the initial assessment.
